Shropshire 2030 Festival Whisky | Ashlar Single Malt by The Longmynd Lodge

Ashlar Shropshire Single Malt

Shropshire 2030 Festival Whisky

A bespoke English Whisky distilled by Charles Hennell, Master Distiller at Hennell's Distillery at Stanton Lacy, Shropshire.

Laid in an American Oak cask on 5th October 2025 (the date of the Warrant of The Longmynd Lodge) the cask may have originated as a bourbon cask and was then used to condition maple syrup for three years and most recently to age spirit distilled at Hennell's Distillery for four months.

Ready for bottling from October 2028, the cask will have matured for three years and we may expect vanilla, caramel, honey and toffee notes in the final drinking. The whisky will be a single malt issued in personalised 70cl bottles at a strength of 42%.

All profits from the whisky are being donated to the Shropshire 2030 Festival which is aiming to raise £1M for the Freemasons' Charity.

Founder Members' Club

Fifty Founder Members have funded the startup costs of this project and at the same time raised an initial £1750 for the Shropshire 2030 Festival.

The goal of the Ashlar Whisky project is to raise around £7000 in total once the cask matures to make whisky.

The Shropshire Masonic 2030 Festival is aiming to raise £1M for the Masonic Charitable Foundation.
